Finding your anointing...

I've been trying to find my anointing.

Yes, there are things I do pretty well, things which come naturally to me, but that's different from the anointing.

In my view, the anointing is when "whatever you touch turns to gold" (A phrase my good friend Jessel used to describe my brother). It is when the simplest ideas and simplest methods produce extraordinary results.

It is the difference between good, great and awesome.

It is when the results make a difference in the world around you and have an unexplainable unanimous vote of positivity from every possible angle.

I know people who work with the anointing - some know it, some harness it, some deny it - but no matter what they say, the anointing is so obvious in their lives and the things they do.

The biblical definition of "anointing" is to "apply oil" which sounds kind of funny when you apply it to the things people do. However, the literal meaning in today's English language is "to choose or as if by divine intervention"

That's IT!! To find your anointing is to find the thing you do, that somehow always seem to have some kind of divine intervention. Now, I know, that's kinda hard to do.

I like a quote from Rev Tan Ye Peng (CHC), "The way to find your anointing is by putting in 100% in what you do from 9 to 5"

It is just to put in your best, in order for God to use you and bring you beyond your best. Once you have experienced how the anointing works, you'll be able to harness you anointing in whatever you do - consciously or unconsciously.

James 2: 14,18, 22-24 says,

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

It is not about how much we pray, how much we believe and how much we hope - it is about how we put our faith into action.

In the same way, finding your anointing is by putting your faith into action; doing the best you can in whatever you do, knowing that the Holy Spirit will intervene and bring you beyond your best!!
